What is peaberry coffee, and how is it different from regular coffee beans?
Normally, a coffee cherry produces two flat-sided beans. Occasionally, a cherry produces just one small, round bean instead — that's a peaberry. Because peaberries form differently, they're picked, sorted, and roasted separately, and are prized for a rounder, often sweeter, more concentrated flavour.
What does it taste like?
Bright citrus and nutty notes up front, with cocoa and a lingering floral and spicy finish.
Why is this the most affordable coffee in your specialty range?
Peaberry isn't "lesser" — it's simply a different, smaller bean. Pricing reflects sourcing and yield differences from the estate, not quality; it's still 100% single-origin Arabica from Coorg.
Is this a good "everyday" coffee or more of an occasion coffee?
Its balanced, approachable profile (not too bold, not too delicate) makes it a solid daily drinker — a good starting point if you're new to single-origin specialty coffee.
Which grind suits this coffee best?
Pour Over or Aeropress lets its citrus and
floral notes come through most clearly. South Indian Filter also works well if
you prefer a stronger, more traditional cup.
How many cups does one pack make?
At the standard ratio of 10g of coffee per 150–200ml water, a 120g pack yields roughly 10–12 cups, and a 240g pack roughly 20–24 cups. This varies slightly
with your preferred strength.
What's the shelf life once I open it?
For best flavour, consume within 45 days of opening. Unopened, the coffee stays fresh for up to 12 months from the packaging date. However, Keep it in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place away from moisture, direct heat, and sunlight. Always use a dry spoon or scoop to prevent Moisture from getting in.
